Steeped in traditionalism, T' Monde plays old fashioned Cajun music ranging from the early 1900's to present day. Bringing together influences ranging from early Country music to ancient French and Creole ballads to present day Cajun music, T'Monde plays music that is made for the ears as well as the feet.
Louisiana's finest, four-time Grammy-Nominated, world-renown Pine Leaf Boys have made a name for presenting their own inimitable brand of Cajun music with youthful exuberance. The Pine Leaf Boys play the old fashion dance hall standards while making a priority to bring many of the more obscure songs of past masters into their repertoire and play them with gusto.
Bryant Keith "T" Broussard's fate as a Zydeco musician was sealed long before he was born. He is a descendent of Creole and zydeco music icons. Bryant's stage presence exudes a remarkable energy. He has been booked for performances from coast to coast. Accordionist, singer, and songwriter are among several of Bryant's musical talents. He also plays drums, scrub board, and bass guitar. Although zydeco music is Bryant's primary performance style, he also plays traditional Creole music.
Returning this year is Gator Country, best known for their CMT show Gator 911. They have also been featured on Animal Planet’s River Monsters and A&E’s Billy the Exterminator. They are bringing a hands-on Gator Show that will educate about alligators, lizards, turtles, tortoises and more. If you can brave your fears, they will have plenty of opportunities for handling and photo ops!
Last, but certainly not least, is the amazing Children’s Area! Keep your children (and kids at heart) entertained all day with our carnival rides, games, and more!
This event is designed to bring awareness to, and help the revitalization of, historic downtown Wichita Falls. It also serves as a fundraiser for Downtown Wichita Falls Development and other nonprofits. Downtown merchants will be open for shopping on Saturday. The event lasts all day, so people are encouraged to get stamped, leave and look at surrounding museums and shops.
